a tuesday night dinner

Every Tuesday night the folks who live in my house gather for dinner together. We take turns making it, and last week it was all me. I had just had a crappy day at work and thoroughly enjoyed banging pans around. I stole my menu and recipes, as usual, from Cooking Light.

Pork Tenderloin Studded with Rosemary and Garlic
Caramelized carrots
Boiled red potatoes

The pork was the big hit, even with Laura who normally doesn't really go in for the whole slab-of-meat thing. Do I want to be the type of woman known for my PORK?

And this week we switch to Thursday night. How confusing!

We only love you for your pork.

I think I have fear of trying to cook big slabs of meat. I see recipes for pork dishes that look interesting, and I'm very intimidated at the thought of trying to cook a pork tenderloin or something. Not sure what my issue is, there.

I'm fine with little bits of meat; just tonight it was ground turkey, but frequently I'll slice up a breast of chicken or whatever. It's the Big Slab of Critter that I don't know what to do with.
