Kitchen Confidential, Anthony Bourdain
Easily in my top 5 books about the food industry. Well-written, great stories, and a good enough read that Russell kept trying to take it away from me. (The last foodie book that occurred with was The Making of a Chef, almost three years ago.)

Tales of an Ugly Stepsister, Gregory McGuire
Don't buy this in hardcover. Cinderella re-telling, not NEARLY as good as Wicked. Go read Wicked instead.

Behind Door Number Three, Patrick O'Leary
Fascinating to watch how it changed into the movie. If you liked the movie, and you're interested in how books move to movies, this is a good pairing.

Millennium, John Varley
Good clean time travel SciFi. About the right length. I didn't like the ending - it seemed a bit abrupt and a bit of a cop-out. The rest of the book is worth the read, though.
