The first of the Sally Lockhart mysteries. Amusing, but i wasn't engaged the way i was with the two Compass books.

The Gumshoe, the Witch, and the Virtual Corpse, Keith Hartman
Good fun, clean writing, and an amusing twist. Homage to all the right comic books and authors. Engaging characters, so it was ok that there were a LOT of them. Good first showing.

The Subtle Knife, Philip Pullman
As exquisite as The Golden Compass. I want the third book. Daniel Krist read both of these on a weekend family vacation, so it's not just me....

The Lord of Emperors, Guy Gavriel Kay
Just as good as Sailing to Sarantium. G.G.K is a master storyteller and quite a historian.

Dreamtoons, Jesse Reklaw
I'd read most of these online, but they hold up equally well on paper. I'm happy to see it published!
