You know? I have all these MEN around me.
This morning, I needed some MAN HELP.
And both my husband and my carpool failed me. Neither of them can tie a tie.
Clearly, i need to learn, and teach THEM.
Posted by shock at January 30, 2004 11:36 AMi think i remember how. my ex-husband just adored ties. (looked damned cute in them, too.) invite me over to make bath bombs, and i'll teach you how to do it!
Posted by: Meredith on January 30, 2004 12:01 PMHey Meriko - this little how-to site doesn't look too bad - fly.hiwaay.net/~jimes/necktie/tietie.html. I tie a mean windsor myself, but the four-in-hand does the trick.
Good luck!
Posted by: Joe on January 30, 2004 12:18 PMi can tie a tie... see Carol tie a tie.
Posted by: carolann on January 30, 2004 2:53 PMI can tie many kinds. But fewer than 85. In my opinion the full windsor is the only knot to tie, and it should be tied in silk. Probably Italian. But really you need to tie a whole bunch and look at them, because the knot shape can be very subtle, and changes with the tie, and you want something that looks good with the shirt collar style and the shape of your face. But I have every confidence that you will effortlessly navigate these shoals.
