This morning, I carefully pulled three tulips out of the big vase, and put them in a small vase with a little bit of water to take to work. I thought to myself that I could very much use a small bit of color and love from my deadly tulips at work this week. I held the small vase between my legs in the backseat of Raj's car for the whole drive to Apple, so that the stems wouldn't crush. I took good care of them.
Until we arrived at Apple, and I set the vase on the trunk of the car so that I could retrieve my jacket. I watched them for a moment, noting that it was windy. But they looked ok, so I turned around to grab my jacket. And turned back to find them on the ground, stems snapped cleanly a few inches below each of the blossoms.
I do so hope this isn't a preview of the rest of my day.

It means: both girls and tulips need shelter from rain and the wind.
And that is probably all. {{hugs}}
