December 18, 2005
The morning has been full of dark and grey and thunder and lightning and gusting wind.
I'm exhausted, and much of me hurts. But I am weary with the exhaustion of the righteous.
The candles are lit. We've had some coffee. Brunch is toast with tofu spread, Fatted Calf toulouse sossiges, and truffled eggs (scrambled soft with salt we brought back from Paris). I'm planning dinner for tonight with my Leckmans.
There is a blankie. And while I'm not getting much crossed off my to-do list, I'm enjoying the storm.
What are you doing with your stormy Sunday?

listening to vince guaraldi and baking and sewing!
Writing badly coded HTML pages.
Wrapping up The 2005 Holiday Card Exercise. It's so much work, but I love stuffing wads of red envelopes in the mail!
Curling up with the kid, listening to the downpour.
Watching Buffy season 4 and napping.
Finishing wrapping presents.
Baking a dozen cupcakes for work. I'm beat; I'm icing them tomorrow morning!
Apparently it was fiercely stormy in the Czech Rep, but Rachel and I spent it cooking up a proper English Christmas dinner. In no particular order: Turkey, roast veg, steamed veg, mince pies, mimosi (which the Brits call Buck's Fizz for no apparent reason), jelly, stuffings, sauces and stuff.
Was grand - had 7 people over (including 2 more brits and a scot) and stuffed ourselves silly. Dang.
