Five tight-pencilled panels last night over seven loose-pencilled last night and the night before. One of the remaining loose panels is so completely awesome I wanted to post it as today's teaser, but it's too faint for the scanner. Kaleja is entirely awesome and gracious in victory, is all I'm saying.

Part of the reason I was able to do five tight in only about three hours is that there are some easier panels on this page -- bless Tammy for suggesting tapestries on the walls, covering up some of the detail-intensive stonework that House Kaveli is so fond of. Part of it is just me going faster. Some things get better when I go faster, some things not so good. I'm going through several cycles of "first you get good, then you get fast, then you get good and fast" in different aspects of pencilling.

Another good day at the studio, this time with Tammy, Todd, and Forrest to keep me entertained. I finished three panels and loose-pencilled three more, got the action out of the bare stone room it's been in for the last couple of pages, and introduced a new character. Progress.
