Avon Walk for Breast Cancer - June 28-29, 2003
The Walking Bombshells - Heidi, Heather, Mo, & meriko!

Day Zero - carbo loading is very important, we hear. You see us satiated after much pasta & cream at The Olive Garden, less than 12 hours before the start of the walk.
(pssst - if you click on the pictures, they'll pop bigger versions. How classy!)
Day One commences. Sunscreen before the sun rises just seems.... so wrong.
It's 5:30am. Do you know where your sunscreen is? (Also known as "Mustn't let the booty burn".)
Walking over the Golden Gate was an adventure in fog-walking. It's a good thing there was really only one direction to go. Enjoy our mandatory Vista Point photo on the left, and us trying to convince Heather to head AWAY from the gorgeous view on the right.
The ghost ship approached from the bank of fog. We marveled.

The woman below is a maniac. She met us in several locations, gettin' down and dancing to Aretha and other funky beats. In this shot, she's convinced some of San Jose's finest to hop off their bike-steeds and join in the mayhem.
Walking through the streets of Sausalito, on the left.
How IS it that we're all still smiling?
And our feet aren't bleeding!
So many thanks to everyone who sponsered and supported us throughout. You all make a huge difference! Anyone ready to join us next year?
