Swedish Tea Ring
My family has this on Christmas morning. Russell wants it more often.

1 pkg. dry yeast
1/4 c. warm water
1/4 c. sugar
5 tbsp. butter, melted
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3.4 cup milk, scalded and cooled
1 egg slightly beaten
2 1/2 to 3 c. of flour
Fruit butter; we like cherry or apricot or peach.

--Pre-heat oven to 350 F.
--Soften yeast in warm water.
--Combine 1/4 cup of sugar, 5 Tbsp. butter, salt and milk in a mixing bowl; stir in egg and yeast.
--Add flour gradually to form stiff dough. Cover; let stand in warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in bulk.
--Make ring with fruit butter in the center of the dough (not the ring). Cover, let rise until doubled.
--Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Spread with glaze while warm & devour!
