We have also set up a relationship with the Ronald McDonald House in San Francisco to give hospitalized children stuffed animals in Sylvain's name. The Ronald McDonald House gives children and families who are from far away from home a place to stay while the children are in the hospital. They give a stuffed animal to each child who comes in, and the children are allowed to take them into the hospital and have them with them after their operations. A majority of the children at the San Francisohouse are in having cardiac-related work done at the UCSF hospital. We dropped of the animals brought to the memorial service on Monday, 17 May, and they were thrilled. Hopefully the animals will bring as much joy and comfort to these children as Sylvain's animals did for him. If you'd like to send a new stuffed animal in Sylvain's name to the house, the address is below. Be sure to send it to the attention of the House Manager, Toyna Delborne and include the information that it's in memory of Sylvain Rouze. They will have tags and ribbons to attatch to the animals there. The Ronald McDonald Houses are community-supported organizations. We'd like to thank them for helping us make our donation in Sylvain's name possible.
